Story of a misunderstanding, Eduardo Pla

Pla has been an artist who experienced different media, always linked to new technologies, since the dawn of the computer revolution at the end of the 60, until the second decade of the 21st century.

Historia de un misunderstanding is made up of works focused on the history of technological art in the country and on some critical issues that remain valid., such as the relationship of technological art with technocratic discourse or the supposed neutrality of these manifestations towards their context.

On the other hand, Seven artists of new generations were invited to dialogue with the selection of works by Eduardo Pla, that will be presented month by month: Kevin Kripper, Diego Alberti, Monte Blue, Sebastián German, Lolo Armdz, Patricio González Vivo and Manolo Gamboa Naón. At the same time, the artist Guido Corallo, was invited to select the section of graphic pieces within the curatorship.

Second appears Fossil, curated by Lux Lindner, sample belonging to artist Eva Shin, who presents a conscious inquiry into different edges that involve technology.

This selection of works is prone to relate textures and emotions from the formal-optimistic, fossilizing colorimetries of biological tissue.

Shin presents the artist and his work as a fossil projected into the future. The work achieves its mission by departing from self-referential and nepotic definitions of the use of technology. Use the machine, but it does point and line on the plasma. In the words of Lindner himself "the reason for the cube, the fossil with centuries of stability in its edges and tangents, what does not orbit more than itself and cannot be transported in the combi of present time. That which has points but not tangents, at the moment, and uses the rotation on their axes to complete once exited the shuttle ".
