Mr. Big and Argentina: pure talent

If a group has two of the most talented musicians in the world, Paul Gilbert as guitarist and bassist Billy Sheehan; plus the inexhaustible talent of a singer who does not know the passage of time, as Eric Martin, and the perfect complement to Matt Starr and Pat Torpey, on drums and percussion; the name of Señor Grande will be able to come out quietly.

It is that in every sense Mr. Big proved - for the third time in the country- that the years do not take their toll on talent, Unlike, they polish it and even increase it. And this concept was enjoyed by the public that filled the Flores Theater to see these musical monsters.

Right from the start - with the devastating Daddy, brother, lover & little boy- until the end, with the delicious cover of The Who, Father O'Riley; the group born in the Californian city of Los Angeles proved that it will always be a visual and listening pleasure, not only from virtuosity, but with a set of great songs that reviewed his discography.

Defying Gravity, the recent album released by the group, was the excuse of the visit, although this return was not subject to the new songs (they only touched two of the new plate). Instead, and unlike the previous time (in 2015), the classics won the scene again and sounded one after another, without the band giving a break.

In this way gems like Alive paraded & kickin’, Take cover o Green-tinted sixties mind, to name a few. Needless to say that ballads (group trademark) they had their deserved place with Just take my heart, or the classic Cat Stevens, Wild world y, closer to the end, To be with you.

In a good mood, all the members of the group exchanged words with the public who responded at every moment when the concert required it. Separate paragraph deserves the power of Matt Starr, already more entrenched in his stable role after his admission to replace Pat Torpey (the original drummer suffers from Parkinson's and accompanies the ensemble in some songs with chorus and percussion).

Luego de Addicted to that rush, the classic included in the first studio album - there by 1989-, it was the turn of the encores with To be with you, Colorado bulldog and 1992. The final farewell would come with Baba O'Riley, what would the closure of, until now, the best of the three visits by one of the most important North American hard rock bands to the country.
