From Monday, until Sunday 21, more of 40 municipal museums, Mendoza's salons and cultural spaces will open their doors to celebrate a new edition of Museum Week.

To celebrate the arrival of this activity several activities are expected, as permanent and traveling exhibits, artistic presentations, talks and guided tours, among other, organized by the Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Ministry of Culture of the province.

On the other hand, It will also start the training cycle for museum staff and community members who are committed to caring for the heritage of the respective institutions. It should be noted that this training will extend throughout the rest of the year.

In this way, Mendoza adheres to the proposal of the International Council of Museums (ICOM, for its acronym in English), what in 1977, appointed the 18 May as International Museum Day.

At the same time, During this week the Mendoza Museums management program will be presented, where the Ministry of Culture of the province, municipalities, museums and research centers will be integrated with the aim of strengthening the management of museums throughout the province.
